Good SEO : Get Good Traffic and Links From Forum
When you are starting forum marketing your first task will be to decide where you will post. There are some basic rules which you should have in mind:
1. Join only forums related to your niche. Links from the signatures will have higher SEO value comparing with links from unrelated websites. The direct traffic which you will get through the signature links will be more targeted so you can expect higher conversions.
2. Look for the forums with higher pagerank. Install Google toolbar to find out the pagerank of the forum. Links from websites with higher pagerank will help your website to rank better in search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.
3. Search for dofollow forums. Dofollow means that there is not a rel=nofollow attribute in the signature links. Only dofollow links have positive impact on sEO.
OK, you have joined a few forums and now is the time to start the posting. Every forum has different sections. Think about your potential customers — in which section will you find them? E. g. if you run a web hosting company it is better to help people in the shared web hosting section because you will find those who are looking for a new web host there. On the other hand if you will post in dedicated servers section you will still get valuable backlinks to your website but the visitors will not be targeted.
If there are more threads then you are able to read and answer start with those where are no replies. This way your signature will be seen by everybody who will visit this thread in the feature because it will be visible without scrolling. The more people will see your signature the more will click it and visit your website.
